This puppy sure seemed to like this boy. The puppy followed him when arrived and when he left.

Morning Monks

This morning we had to be on the bus for 6am to see the morning offering to the monks. In exchange for the food given (which is all the monks get to live on for the day) the people donating get a prayer and blessed water which they pour upon a tree.

Ok I saved the best for last...

We got to feed the elephants and the baby elephant was not too happy that Becky ran out of bananna's. But she's fine! and she still has all her hair after the elephant grabbed it.

Elephant Ride

And of course we rode elephants (Those are our feet). The guy driving the elephant even got off it in the middle of the trail and took 4-5 pictures of us on the elephant ( They are on Becky's camera). He only knew a few words of english but he knew the word "America" when Becky told him.

This place was incredible! The elephants danced, played soccer and even painted artworks (of course for sale after the show)

Critters

These guys are everywhere. They are pretty fast to catch but Kevin did manage to catch one. Hopefully we don't see any one the menu. Well as I'm typing this Becky is out (yet again) getting another massage. We will be riding elephants tommorow!!

Becky at McTemple

We came upon an interesting place to worship greasy burgers. So we did by eating some. And if you think you ever heard of the word "supersize" then check out the size of these fries. These are not anything we ordered special either, these are the ones that just came with the meal.

The smoking demon!!

This was at that temple also. This is the no smoking demon (there was a no drinking demon there too). Anyways, notice the packs of cigarettes that are in its teeth and hands. Only people we ever saw smoke here was some europeans at dinner once. Everyone is so polite here. You cant even imagine. Never even heard a car honk its horn in 2 weeks now.

Temple in white?

Ok since we have seen maybe 20 or so temples I have long ago forgot what was what but this is one that we went to today. No picture in the world does this justice. You need to dress proper (women do) to enter and of course take off your shoes (which you have to do in every temple).

Chang Mi

We made it to our final city Chang Mi. Becky continues to shop. Prices are incredible in Thailand. It must be because of the incredible amount of markets everywhere. There is so much competition everywhere selling the same things. Oh and you have to haggle for the price you want (that's Becky's job). No set price on anything.

Becky did eat a dried worm!! (And a few ants by mistake) I do not have the picture but I do have it on video for when we get back. Chang-Mi should have a lot more to choose from! Although we did see some cooked rats for sale.

Riverboat ride

We took another riverboat ride to get to the cave that the monks live in (Thats where Becky found the snake). People everywhere swimming, fishing .. having fun in the river. Becky is a goldmine to all the local tribes selling their goods.

And of course there were elephants walking down the streets and walking in the river. We didnt get a ride on one yet but we did feed them (this is the one in the picture) took a bannana out of our hands but would not out of Kevin's teeth for some reason.

Monkeys!

Today we went to the monkey temple. There were monkeys EVERYWHERE! Trees, rooftops, ground etc.. and of course you could buy bannanas there (That's when the real swarm began).

And for those that did vote in the poll I have to say that Becky did not get bit by a monkey (although she did have a scream filled encounter with a snake in a cave today)

Reclining Budda

Buddha's Buddha's everywhere!! This one was HUGE! I dont think we've had one stop yet that didnt have a buddha somewhere. Oh and buy the way I had to buy internet (50 baht) to finally get some pictures on here). Internet is never free in Thailand.

We are now in Chang Ri

We went on a boat ride to Laos and we had about 1/2 hour to shop "duty free" before we had to get back on the boat. Pressure!!!

Crazy ride

Becky and I just rode through the streets (very busy ones) on the back
of a 3 wheeled bike. She was sitting on the seat while I sat on top of
the seat (almost on her shoulders). The driver only charged us 100
baht ($2.81). She of course had the camcorder running during the trip.

The streets of Bangkok

Well as I write this Becky is sitting next to me getting a foot & leg
massage. Fortunatly the owner also owns the Internet store that is
next door. So they just served us tea and Becky has now almost dozed
off as she gets her massage. Well better drink some of my tea. Off to
a new city tommorow!

Ok..

I think another motel we are going to has free Wi-fi so stay tuned! We
didn't get sick yet although we did eat some questionable things today
(no bugs yet!)

Weak signal...

We as hard as I tried I cannot get a strong enough signal for my PDA
to connect (and this is in Bangkok!) so I don't think I can get any
pictures on here. But I will keep trying!

We made it!

Well we did not have Wi-fi for awhile. We did so much the last 2 days
it's kinda hard to type it all. But everything has been incredible (
including the weather). Temples, markets & elephants oh my! And we
still have just been in Bangkok area.

Korea

We made it to South Korea and we are waiting for our next flight. No sleep yet!

Hopefully this is the right flight we take!

Ready for our 14hr. flight!

Morning!

Well I just checked the weather in Bangkok and Monday's high temp is
100 degrees and Tuesday it will be 101 degrees!! Oh well time for
breakfast and then we fly!
